To prepare this 2018’s batch of Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Camiguin, a mentees’ meeting was held on February 21, 2018 at Mambajao Negosyo Center in Camiguin.

Local entrepreneurs will learn new concepts, ideas and practices that can help improve their businesses from other successful entrepreneurs and business experts.

Most of those who would undergo the program come from the food sector while others are from services, construction supply, trucking and hauling, as well as skin care, among others.

The meeting was aimed to orient and to let the mentees sign a Pledge of Commitment to give them a full understanding about the program, the benefits, the process, the schedules as well as to get their full commitment to participate in the program.

The KMME also aims to help MSMEs scale up their businesses thru a weekly coaching and mentoring by business owners and practitioners on different functional areas of entrepreneurship.

The KMME Program is a collaborative coaching and mentoring program with partner entrepreneurs, academe, institutions specializing in functional areas of entrepreneurship and mentorship.

The participants are expected to attend this year’s  regional rollout with twenty  (20)  support to tourism MSMEs of the province that have been pre-selected as mentees to undergo the 10-Module program for 11 weeks.

It will be a series of Lectures and mentoring with local mentors on a weekly basis on different functional areas of entrepreneurship.(DTI/PIA-10)
