CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao — Ten more loose firearms were surrendered by Datu Saudi Ampatuan town recently to Army’s 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion at the town’s municipal hall.

The high-powered firearms included two 60mm mortar, two sniper rifles, three M203 grenade launchers, one caliber 50 Barret type rifle, one caliber 30, and one 81mm mortar.

The turn over rites served as the genuine gesture of the municipality to campaign of the government on loose firearms.

It can be recalled that the town also surrendered 17 loose firearms to the Army on April 24.
