THE southwest monsoon or habagat, enhanced by two low pressure areas, brought rains in most parts of the country.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) yesterday said the low pressure areas were observed at 1,245 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan and the other at 550 kms west of Subic, Zambales.

As a result, many areas started to have have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the southwest monsoon. pna
