City Councilor Ian Uy, chair of the Sangguniang Panlungsod’s committee on peace and order said they are in the process of making consultations with the police, the military, barangay officials, and concerned citizens on the probable suspension of the city’s curfew ordinance.

It was learned that some businesses are clamoring for the lifting of the curfew, even if only for the fiesta season which is the whole month of September with the 28th and 29th as the fiesta days.

The present curfew has been moved from 11:00 pm to 12:00 midnight and even with these hours, some sectors are in favor with doing away with it, at least for the season.
