THE water supply in the western parts of the city and Opol town in Misamis Oriental is back to normal.

Ladelle Sagrado, Cagayan de Oro Water District spokesperson, said the water supply was increased from 40 million liters a day to 60 million liters at 12 midnight yesterday.

Sagrado said the water delivery was increased by the Cagayan de Oro Bulk Water Inc. following the repair of a water pump that bogged down about a month ago.

The water pump has been set up at the water treatment plant of Cobi in Baungon town in Bukidnon.

“Kadtong mga elevated areas sa western parts sa Cagayan de Oro all the way to Opol, Misamis Oriental,  na-a nay ilang tubig,” Sagrado said.

The COWD, she said, is expecting to further increase the water delivery of Cobi by 20 million liters a day to boost the supply for eastern areas of the city next year.

“Pagmahuman na kanang ilang pipe installation sa Cobi gikan sa  Taguanao paingon sa reservoir sa Camaman-an,  ma-sufficient na dayon ang atong water supply sa  2nd District sa Cagayan de Oro,” Sagrado said. (Nitz Arancon)
