The municipalities of Mahinog, Catarman, Mambajao, Sagay, and Guinsiliban have already identified and prepared the target areas where the tree planting will be conducted.

Provincial Administrator Raquel Ranara said the activity will be participated by the local government units in the island along with the academe and civil society organizations.

It is a way to preserve the bounties of the island and make Camiguin not just one of the top tourist destinations in the country but also an island with people who genuinely care for the environment, Ranara said. (pia x)
