Rotary Club of West Cagayan de Oro, one of the premier clubs of Rotary International District 3870 is once again doing the annual ORO OPEN Golf Tournament which is on its 19th year at Pueblo de Oro Golf & Country Club, Cagayan de Oro City this coming February 22, 23 and 24, 2019.

Every year around 300 golfers usually Rotarians take part in this much awaited prestigious event from all over the Philippines such as Cebu, Makati, Davao, Iligan, Cotabato, Zamboanga, Tagbilaran, Ozamis, Dipolog and Cagayan de Oro.

The ORO OPEN Golf Tournament is a major event that helps Rotary Club of West Cagayan de Oro to raise funds for the Club’s most important projects which are as follows: the 37th Most Outstanding Public School Teacher Award (MOPSTA) which recognizes exemplary and dedicated public school teachers around Northern Mindanao, Medical Mission to various remote barangays of Cagayan de Oro City.

Community Livelihood Service Projects, Projects for the Youth in empowering young leaders, Nutritional Feeding Program at Barangay Bayabas, Kauswagan and Balubal, UPLIFT Scholarship Program which provides scholarship among rural poor communities in the elementary and high school level, Water and Sanitation Projects at Barangay Bayanga and Dansolihon thru Skyhydrant (Ultra Filtration Water System).

Dakilang Ina, Ikaw Na Project a Mother and Child Care project at Lower Balulang and Indahag.
