TO improve the Birthing Homes and TB-DOTS Facilities of the city, the 19th City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy authorized Mayor Oscar Moreno to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Health-Center of Health Development Northern Mindanao (DOH-CHD NM).
This covers the transfer of P1 million from the DOH-CHD NM to the City Government, which was identified as one of the recipients of fund assistance for the improvement of the said facilities.
Under the pact, the city through the Health Center Birthing Home and TB-DOTS Facility shall ensure that the sub-allotted funds shall be used to augment the budget for improving its services such as the construction of storage facilities for TB-DOTS medicine and supplies; repair of the health facility to conform with the standards or DOTS certification, among others.
For its part, the DOH-CHD NM shall ensure the transfer of the funds to the city and monitor the implementation of the project. (sp)
