Beauty Wise Philippines, seller of premium-quality skin care products in the country would kick off its charity event dubbed “Bangon Marawi: Continue to Rise Marawi” with the theme “Wiser Beauty, Wiser Purpose” during the start of Ramadan (May 5) and is seen to benefit 600 families who were displaced during the war between government forces and Maute insurgents in May 2017 in the said city.

In a message sent to this paper Beauty Wise Marketing Head for Mindanao Mark Edson Pagaspas said “Sa nilabay na tuig, gusto i-check sa company if kumusta ang mga taga Marawi. Then last April 15, we found out sa pag ocular namo dadto nga naa pay mga sites nga wala pa gyud nabalhin sa sakto na puy-anan ang evacuees, naa pa sa mga tents nakapuyo ang 600 ka families sa evacuation site sa Pag-Asa Site, Marawi.”

Adding that “Mao ni ang napili sa company na tagaan ug pagpakabana, kay daghan sila na gaagad ra sa tabang sa government pero dili ra gyud sapat ang tabang. Hence, nag-decide ang Beauty Wise na maghatag ug 50 ka livelihood packages worth P2 thousand each para makatabang sa ila.”

Along with the livelihood packages amounting to P100 thousand, the families would also each receive gift packs containing rice, can goods among others. Pagaspas shared that the company plans to monitor the 50 beneficiaries of the re-seller’s package so that they can utilize and grow their business.

“Ang nagtabang pud sa preparation ani is ang mga distributors sa Mindanao area, nag repack sila ug mga bugas, ug basic needs,” Pagaspas concluded.

The said charity event is spearheaded by Event Head Mary Jane Uy Mindanao Depot Manager of Beauty Wise Philippines, along with Assistant Coordinator Mark Edson Pagaspas Marketing Head for Mindanao through the initiative of the owners Jen Galo, Victor Galo, Joj Tapulgo, and Urbanita Tapulgo in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) –Marawi City, and Galo family.
