BUTUAN City–Vice Mayor Angelo Calo and councilors led the ceremonial switching of the “Light Up, Butuan 2015” project of the Amante administration at the Guingona Park on Tuesday night.
The crowd cheered as a giant Christmas tree and other colorful decors at the park were lit up to the delight of children and adults alike.
The annual “Light Up, Butuan” project signals the start of the yuletide in the city.
“The purpose of this project is for the people of Butuan, especially children, to feel the Christmas atmosphere,” said Butuan city information officer Nelsa Auron.
