THE City Council committee on social services chaired by Councilor Reuben Daba endorsed to the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya for appropriate action the Deed of Donation and acceptance to be made and executed by the city government of Cagayan de Oro and the Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation, Incorporated.

The Foundation is implementing the “2018 program for the Philippines,” otherwise known as PFP 2018. This is part of PMFTC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, ‘Embrace.’

One of the activities of PFP 2018 under Disaster/Emergency Relief is the provision of emergency kits to victims of disasters to augment their needs while they are recovering.

Under the project, the foundation shall transfer as a way of donation to the city 250 food packs each containing three kilos of rice, six pieces of noodles, four cans of sardines and meat loaf, three cans of corned beef, two packs of chocolate power drinks, three packs of coffee and one kilo of sugar.

The food packs shall be distributed on or before May 30.

Under the agreement, the city government will accept the donation from the foundation, and use it solely and exclusively for its purposes. It shall not be used for re-donation, sale or distribution to any person, natural or judicial.

The city shall also grant permission or consent to foundation for the use of the images or videos taken during the activity, either internally or externally, under any legal condition including, but not limited to, corporate brochures, annual reports, website, or social media platforms. (sp)
