Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano has urged the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to hasted the investigation against alleged issues hounding the Balingasag Power Station located at Barangay Mamdangoa in Balingasag town of Misamis Oriental.

In an interview, Emano said he wants the investigation against Minergy Power Corporation fast tracked.

The Balingasag Powere Station is owned by the Minergy Power Corporation has allegedly violated the environmental regulations as according to a complaint raised by the residents there through the association of Botoc Farmers and Fisheries Association of Sitio Botoc in the barangay.

The residents have been complaining against unfriendly environment allegedly done by the company, said Emano.

It can be remembered that the association sent a letter of complaint to Emano on Oct. 30 and then endorsed to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for immediate action.

“Looy pud ang mga lumulopyo sa maong dapit kung ang isyo dili mahatagan sa igong pagtagad,” said Emano.
