GMA Pictures and Mic Test Entertainment’s much-awaited collaboration, ‘Family History,’ finally opens in theaters tomorrow.

A perfect mix of drama, romance, and comedy, ‘Family History’ is a heart-warming movie which depicts values and virtues that are challenged when life takes a sudden turn.

‘Family History’ is written, produced, and directed by no less than multi-awarded comedian and content creator Michael V. The film also marks Bitoy’s return on the big screen.

“I’m really proud of this movie. Gusto kong ma-share ito sa maraming tao. Gusto kong ipakita na kahit sinong tao can do something like this. It’s a story I really want to tell. Hopefully, you learn you something from it. It’s a very special project for me,” said the highly-talented Kapuso comedian. 

Bitoy teams up with seasoned movie actress Dawn Zulueta for the first time.

Joining the “BiDawn” tandem are talented GMA stars Miguel Tanfelix, Bianca Umali, Paolo Contis, Nonie Buencamino, Kakai Bautista, Ina Feleo, Mikoy Morales, Nikki Co, Jemwell Ventenilla, Vince Gamad, and John Estrada with special cameo appearances of Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes and award-winning comedienne and TV host Eugene Domingo.

‘Family History’ has been graded “B” by the Cinema Evaluation Board. The Board lauded the film’s outstanding direction, screenplay, cinematography, editing, production design, music scoring, sound design and acting performances.

One reviewer said that Family History is “an effective film sensitively directed by Michael V.” Another positive note from a reviewer stated that its “a credible family drama with the unique Michael V touches of comedy.”

Likewise, the reviewers commended Bitoy’s directorial masterpiece, “the director doesn’t forget that the film is essentially fun” and “Michael V shows great potential as a director.”

They concluded that the movie is “nice to see that not everything has to be a rom-com for millennials” and “touches family relations from different angles. A must see for everyone.”
