A rape case is now being prepared against a 25-year-old fishcar helper who was arrested for sexually abusing a special child.
Police Cpl. Jacky Malagamba, assigned at the Women’s Children Protection Desk, identified the suspect as Jerson Noina, a native of Pagadian city.
The suspect, who admitted the crime did not resist arrest when he was nabbed by responding police officer on Monday.
Malagamba said the incident happened when the victim was sleeping in the sala of their house together with her 12-year-old sister.
“Kadto pung higayona ang suspek nga nakainum didto pud natulog sa sofa sa sala gihapon. Gihulatan lang seguro niya makatulog na ang biktima ayha niya gihilabtan,” Malagamba narrated.
It was learned that the suspect threatened to kill the victim if she tell other people about the incident.
Malagamba said, it was the victim’s 12-year-old sister who informed her mother about the incident. The suspect was arrested while delivering fish to Valencia, Bukidnon.
Noina is temporarily detained at Villanueva police station mini-cell.
