The City Council committee on health and health insurance chaired by Councilor Maria Lourdes S. Gaane favorably recommended the construction of the sundown clinic (TB DOTS Facility) under the Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP) of Department of Health.
The project includes the construction of concrete and covered pathway and the new TB-DOTS facility of the City Health Office.
The TB Sundown Clinic offers free tuberculosis and leprosy treatments.
The clinic is located right beside the CHO along Hayes Street in Barangay 40, which opens from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am up to 9:00 pm.
It caters to patients diagnosed with TB who have difficulty seeking consultations during regular working hours.
During the meeting, Dr. William Bernardo of CHO said the DOH allocated P5 million for the completion of the social hygiene building for the second and third floors.
“The budget of P5 million is sobra ra sa kato rang tiwason nga duha ka part…HFEP had to do a variation asa gamiton ang sobra,” he said. (sp)
