The displaced fire victims at Kolambog, Barangay Lapasan will receive financial assistance from the city government and from their Barangay to them aid  in rebuilding their houses which were burned down when a fire broke early morning on Tuesday.

City Social Welfare and Development head Teddy Sabuga-a said aside from the immediate relief assistance they provided the day after the fire broke out, they have set aside funds intended to the 19 households affected by fire.

Sabuga-a said the amount they will receive will be based on the assessment with an attached certification from the Fire department.

“As long as they comply with the requirement we provided, hopefully before the year end, they can avail of the financial assistance,” Sabugaa added.

Labuntog said they will continue to house the fire victims in their evacuation center until the fire victims could rebuild their houses.
