The new road was named after Ilogon by the town council in recognition of the donation made by his heirs.

Obsioma said the Ilogon family donated 750 square meters to the government, allowing the construction of the much needed road leading to the town’s terminal.

He said the donation made in 2015 would add to the development of the town, the home of the region’s primary airport.

Witnessing the unveiling rites were members of the Ilogon family, and capitol and town officials. The now US-based former broadcaster and her brother Raul also took part in the unveiling ceremony. (nitz arancon)
