The province of Misamis Oriental is well on its way on preparing for the Kuyamis festival this coming January 2019. Through the leadership and vision of Governor Yevgeny “Bambi” Emano, the province has established itself as a rising tourism destination and potential business partner for both foreign and local investors. The term “Kuyamis” which is derived from a coconut variety is a fitting description of the people of Misamis Oriental, sweet inside yet resiliently tough on the outside. Tourism has always been one of the major thrusts of the debonair governor and its rise to the spotlight has been made possible through the efforts of the tourism department.

Atty. Jeffrey Saclot who heads the tourism department has created and took on the chance to join numerous ways to shine the spotlight on the destinations, products and people of the province. From joining food expos, national pageants, local and foreign publications and video presentations, the province is slowly but surely being promoted to a higher platform and wider audience each month through the efforts of its leaders and staff.
