IN an effort to resolve the complaints of taxi drivers in the city, Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya suggested that the city council’s committee on public utilities take up what has been labeled as “unfair competition” in Land Transportation Office’s issuance of plate numbers and body numbers.

During the regular session this week, led by Vice Mayor Joaquin Raineir Uy, Nacaya reiterated that taxi drivers have been complaining that they could not earn as much any more because LTO-10 has been continuously issuing franchises, additional taxi units, and plate numbers here in the city.

Dili lang kini sa kasamtangang administrasyon nahitabo kun dili kaniadto pa,” he said.

Nacaya suggested that LTO-10 should hold a dialogue with the complaining taxi drivers. (sp)
