TO entice more investments in the city, Oro Mayor Oscar Moreno highlighted the importance of boosting the services provided by the City building Office (CBO) after holding the ‘soft launching’ of the Building Permit Management System (BPMS).
The system gives due recognition to CDO as the first city in the country to develop an online building permit application and processing system.
Moreno explained that the efficiency and speedy processing of documents in the Office of the Building Official (OBO) is very essential in attracting more businesses to invest in the city.
It is the primary aim of the BPMS, developed by the experts from the Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST) and OBO, to hasten the processing of acquiring building occupancy and other permits with the use of new technology.
With the new system of the OBO, applicants no longer need to visit the CBO to submit their requirements since they can now upload their documents in the internet through the eBlueprint, eSignature and Seal.
Agencies that also play a role in the review of the building or occupancy permit can also be connected to the system through the ‘automation interconnectivity. pia
