A joint operation made by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Misamis Occidental Provincial Office and the Oroquieta City police has arrested a former-mayor and listed as number 7 in the target list of drug personality.

PDEA-10 regional director Wilkins Villanueva identified the suspect as Liwaya Angcap – Paras, 62 and a resident of Barangay Talarion, Oroquieta City. She was arrested by virtue of a search warrant.

Liwaya is a former mayor of Municipality of Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur, is the daughter of the incumbent mayor of Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur who was included in the recently released President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (PRRD) Narcotic list.

Also arrested was her live-in partner, Leander Lumantas, a known drug user from Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.

Confiscated from their possession were 15 sachets of shabu weighing MOL 25 grams worth P125,000.00; 2 pcs disassembled M4 Cal. 5.56 rifles;  1 pc Cal. 45 pistol (loaded with magazine and ammunition);  6 pcs Magazines for Cal. 5.56; Assorted Cal. 5.56 and Cal. 45 ammunitions

Following a successful operation, another joint operation was conducted against a target person and listed as Number 8 in the drug listed personality.

Joint implementation of Search Warrant was conducted by members of PDEA-Misamis Occidental Provincial Office; Misamis Occidental Provincial Police Office (MOPPO) and Sinacaban MPS at Brgy. Colupan Bajo, Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental, resulting to the arrest of 45-years old Amiel Caw-it Enot.

AMIEL is an incumbent Kagawad of the said barangay, is a relative of Mayor Crisenciano Mahilac, the incumbent mayor of the Municupality of Sinacaban who was included in the recently released PRRD NARCOLIST.

Confiscated from his possession is 26 sachets of shabu weighing MOL 15 grams worth P75,000.00.

“We will never cease to go after those drug personalities who will continue to “Mock” our War on Drugs,” he said.
