The Rotary Club of Kalayaan CdO received 10 club awards and three individual awards in the recently concluded Saulog Discon 2017 held in Valencia City, April 29 to May 1. The club awards are the following: Outstanding Club, District Governor’s Challenge, District Governor’s Merit, Top 5 Highest Polio Plus Giving Club, Top 10 Annual Fund Giving, Annual Giving, Community Service, Award of Merit – membership growth, Erey Club, and the TRF Club Award.
President Emma B. Tan received the District Governors Challenge Outstanding Leadership Award and the Certificate of Service Award while Club Secretary Maria Virginia D. Rojas received the Efficiency Award.
The Rotary Club of Kalayaan CdO was chartered on February 10, 1999 and has a total membership of 56. The Club Officers of RC Kalayaan CdO for RY 2016-2017 are: Emma B. Tan (president); Mafel P. Gatchalian (vice president); Maria Virginia D. Rojas (president-elect); Maria Virginia D. Rojas (secretary); Arlene B. Buot (assistant secretary); Grace V. Kwan (treasurer); Virginia C. Legaspi (assistant treasurer); Christopher Bryan Y. Medina (sergeant-at-arms); Rogelio A. Buot Jr. (PRO); Veronica F. Aberilla (auditor); and Antonieta Cynthia O. Camomot (immediate past president).
