A student of Macabalan National High School here ended his life by hanging himself inside his room Saturday morning.
Police Sergeant Pocholo Beja of Macabalan police station, identified the suicide as Giovanni Abujan, 18, a resident of Sitio Parola, Macabalan, this city.
Abujan, a grade eight high school student, was still alive when his relatives discovered him.
Responding rescue team from the city tried to revive the victim while he was being ferried to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center only to be declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Beja said a suicide note was seen beside the victim that reads: “Auntie Sharon sorry sa akong gibuhat.”
Sharon is the victim’s 44-year-old neighbor whom the latter called auntie.
When police investigators interviewed her, Sharon preferred not to explain the Abujan’s suicide note saying it was only between her and Abujan.
Abujan’s death by suicide was the second incident to happen in the city.
On Sept. 5, a certain Jupiter Dipindi, a balot vendor also took his own life by hanging inside his house in Barangay Lumbia.
