TWO known lawyers of ex-mayor Vicente Emano are still in the dark in regard the two sets of graft charges filed against him before the Office of the Ombudsman.

But at face value, lawyer and Councilor Leon Gan said the complaints filed by former city hall “job order” worker Ernesto Molina were “bug-at.” He did not elaborate.

Molina filed two sets of complaints against Emano over the alleged illegal disbursements of a P5.7-million disaster fund, and P4-million pork barrel allocation of Ambis-Owa party-list Rep. Sharon Carin in 2013 when he (Emano) was still the city’s mayor.

Molina also included four of Emano’s subordinates then and two private individuals who received the funds as city hall’s payments.

According to Gan, he still had no idea about how Emano planned to answer his accuser before the ombudsman or if the former mayor already submitted his reply to the Office of the Ombudsman.

“Bag-o pa man. Wala pa koy idea kon natubag na ba nila ni Mayor Emano. Kon wala pa, basin karong sunod nga mga adlaw magpagawas og order ang ombudsman aron ilang tubagon ang maong reklamo,” Gan said.

He said none of the respondents, including Emano, has talked to him about Molina’s complaints.

“Usahay dunay mga panahon nga ila kung kuha-on nga abogdo nila. Pero karon wala pa man,” said Gan.

Gan said Emano would likely ask lawyer Francis Khu to answer Molina’s complaints.

But like Gan, Khu said he remained clueless about the Molina complaints, and couldn’t comment on any of it.
