Cerilles said relief goods such as used clothing, family food packs, kitchen utensils, and water containers were gathered from this province’ 26 towns through the campaign.

Cerilles said the relief goods were turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) to be distributed to the fire victims.

More than 1,500 houses were razed by a four-hour fire that hit last week the coastal barangays of San Pedro and Santiago, this city.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has placed the estimated worth of property damaged during the fire at PhP20 million.

A septuagenarian man was killed while his wife was injured during the fire.

The fire victims are temporarily housed at this city’s gymnasium, Plaza Luz’ covered court, Barangay Kawit covered court, and San Pedro Elementary School.

Cerilles expressed his gratitude to all the municipal mayors and the Greater Pagadian Jaycees for positively responding to the “Oplan Kaagapay, Tabang Pagadian” campaign.

Meanwhile, Teresita Roldan, CSWDO officer-in-charge, said they have also received donations for the fire victims coming from the nearby Dipolog City, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). Pna
