TO provide a good opportunity to residents who are willing to undergo skills training program for free, the city council unanimously enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Oscar Moreno to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement with Monark Foundation Inc., for the implementation of a Technical Vocational Course Program to students.

The agreement covers the collaboration of the parties in the implementation of the program to students from the city and neighboring areas for free at the Cagayan de Oro-Technical and Vocational Institute in Barangay Agusan.

In his letter to the city council, Moreno said the agreement will cover training on heavy equipment servicing and heavy equipment operations, which is in great demand here and abroad, to students from the city for free. Successful students shall also be given Tesda accreditation after completing the training program, he said.

Under the agreement, the foundation shall ensure that the provisions of the agreement are properly implemented and coordinated with the city for the purpose of ensuring high standard of training; design, implement, evaluate and constantly develop the training program to respond to the industry requirements, among others.
