The food scene in uptown CDO (Cagayan de Oro) is growing at a rapid pace with so many venues offering delicious dishes that we grew up on, and one place embodies that as well as offering an amazing ambiance and relaxing vibe that we Kagay-anons appreciate most.

Located at Gran Via, corner Regatta Blvd is “Nia Rajud: Bees Food Park” owned and manage by Marjorie O. Egypto, the park is made of multiple container vans that serves as its main building and houses Lecam (Its sole beverage seller); a spacious beer garden accommodated by the cool breeze of fresh air makes it even more of an awesome place to chill and have a cold beverage paired with your favorite pulotan courtesy of Lutong Bahay ni Lola Ere.

Lutong Bahay ni lola Ere offers a variety of chicken, fish and pork barbecues and seafoods to its customers as well as other lutong bahay that we grew up with.

As we all know Cagayan de Oro is a versatile city with people from different walks of life. In line with that Egypto designed the food park to cater different people food preferences.

The park offers a pork free station or halal foods courtesy of Tunalicious that offers a variety seafood –tuna being one of its prominent dishes. The tuna jaw(panga), fresh and cook to perfection over a hot charcoal grill is one of the staple dish that people crave for especially when the price is just right.

According to people I’ve talked with their tuna belly is also equally delicious. They also serve vegetables, salads and a dessert corner where you can buy ice cream.

This wasn’t Egypto’s first “rodeo show” as she has had plenty of experience running a food business and one them was at the now defunct CDO Bazaar at Paseo del Rio Rotunda specializing in Budol Fights, after its (CDO Bazaar) closure they transferred to T. Chavez st., near Cepalco, but the parking space proved a deal breaker.

Later on they would find themselves in Uptown CDO starting with an empty lot and simple food tents renting it to tenants, before it went solo, and invested in developing the area as we see it today – serving delicious and affordable meals to kagay-anons, and contributing to its vibrant food scene.

The park would also soon open its 2nd floor which has a good view of the entire Pueblo Business Park and a more breezy area to chill and hangout at, and on top of that they are bringing back what they are known for – Budol Fight.

Nia Rajud: Bees Food Park is open from 4 PM to 12 midnight daily with nightly acoustic session performed by this city’s local talents.

“Gi aw-hag ang tanan sa pag bisita sa Nia Rajud Bees Food Park diri sa Uptown, dili mo mag-mahay kay daghan ta variety of food mga seafoods, barbecues and naa-sad tay acoustic bands everynight, and presentable sad atoang ambiance, ug mag enjoy mo sa amoang location kay kami first container van theme food park na gitukod diri ug daghan parking space,” Marjorie Egypto, concluded.
