As of Nov. 30, no violation was recorded in the provinces of Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Occidental, and Lanao del Norte especially on the prices of rice, milk, sugar, and fuel, among others.

A total of 582 establishments were inspected in Region 10 and all were found to be following the Department of Trade and Industry’s suggested retail prices (SRPs), DTI officials said.

Ruel Paclipan, DTI provincial director for Lanao del Norte, said the compliance was due to the government’s work to make violations high-risk undertakings. He said store owners know they would be penalized if they commit violations.

DTI-10 industry specialist Jocelyn Rosales said price monitorings are being conducted weekly across the region to ensure the strict enforcement of the Fair Trade Law.
