MARAWI City ― The Lanao del Sur provincial government will be imposing a new curfew starting today as part of the measures to contain the 2019 novel coronavirus disease.
A 12- hour curfew from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am will be implemented in the entire province starting March 25 until lifted and while the enhanced community quarantine persists, according to Executive Order 10 signed today by Provincial Governor Mamintal Adiong Jr.
The curfew was previously set from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am.
Exempted from the curfew are those working in health offices, local disaster risk reduction and management offices, social work and development offices, Bureau of Fire and Protection, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police.
Urgent cases where travel and movement are absolutely necessary for the preservation of life and health and for other humanitarian reasons are also exempted.
“Violators shall be apprehended and dealt with in accordance with provisions of existing laws and regulations,” the order read.
As of 8:00 am Tuesday, there are 1,913 individuals in the province identified as Person Under Monitoring while 26 are Persons Under Investigation. (PIA-10)
