A 32-year-old person was arrested by the authorities after he was caught in the act of driving a stolen motorcycle this morning.

Iligan City Police Station led by Police Major Rorye Tabuclin identified the suspect as Samsodim Ali, single, a resident of Masiu Cadayunan, Balo-I, Lanao del Norte.

A stolen Suzuki Motorcycle (Raider-150) with plate number 455-KBM was confiscated from the possession of the suspect.

The said unit is registered under the name Jeluo Sordilla, 28, a resident of Purok Manga, Zone 1, Tubod, Iligan City.

The arrest was made by duty intelligence of the said police officers at about 4 am at Purok Pag-asa, Carbide, Tubod of the said place.

A police report revealed that prior to the arrest a concerned citizen called up the duty desk police officer informing him that stealing a motorcycle transpired.

Immediately duty intelligence officer responded to the call by conducting roadblocks at the possible exit points of the city.

A few hours later the group noticed an incoming motorcycle doing a free-wheeling motion while at Carbide road.

After flagging down, the responding policemen asked pertinent papers to show ownership of the said unit but the suspect failed to show the documents.

Ali was brought to the police headquarter for disposition.

Estrada congratulates the operating unit for the arrest and further reminded them to Stay Safe in this trying time.
