A 33-year-old Camiguin resident has been arrested for the nine counts of estafa cases he is facing in court.

The court judge recommended the suspect a total of P162,000 as a bail bond for his temporary liberty.

Police Col. Elias Hampac, Camiguin police director, identified the suspect as Kimmy Cagas, married, 33, a resident of Sitio Binunsaran, Poblacion, Mambajao of the said province.

Hampac said the suspect was arrested by personnel assigned at Mambajao municipal police station led by Police Lt. Jesson Gabotero while at Sitio Binunsaran, Barangay Poblacion of the said town Thursday, this week at 4:50 pm.

The arresting team was armed with an arrest warrant issued by Judge Carlou Mae Wong-Toribio of the Municipal Trial Court 10, Camiguin for the violation of estafa.

Hampac said the operation was made possible with the strong cooperation of the Barangay Intelligence Network and Security Alliance at the said place.

The suspect is currently under the custody of Mambajao police for the booking and documentation procedures.
