A farmer and a laborer in Bukidnon were arrested by authorities in separate operations for murder charges over the weekend.

Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Police Provincial Director, identified the suspects as Alton Alimocon, laborer, 25, married, and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Canayan, Malaybalay City; and Renato Saliwa, alias ‘Nat-Nat,’ 26, single, farmer and a resident of Sitio Dalongdong, Barangay Dominorog, Talakag both of the said province.

Police first arrested Alimocon who was also tagged by the police as the number 1 most wanted person at the province level by police operatives assigned at Malaybalay City Police Station, led by Police Capt. Joseph Galupo together with Gingoog City Police Station and other police units at Purok 5, Sitio Tandingon, Barangay Talisayan of the said province on Saturday at 6 am.

Judge Wilfredo Bibera, Jr. of the Regional Trial Court-10, recommended the suspect no bail bond.

The following day, Sunday, Lantapan police also in Bukidnon arrested Saliwa at Sitio Bugwak, Barangay Bacusanon of the said town at 10:30 am.

Judge Jeanne Marie Abarrientos of the Regional Trial Court-10, Branch 11, Manolo Fortich, did not allow the suspect to put up a bail bond.

The suspects are now under the custody of their respective police stations for proper disposition.
