FIRE burned 10 houses in Purok 1, Barangay Luz Banzon in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental yesterday at 10:35 am.
In a phone interview Wednesday afternoon, Municipal Fire Marshall SF04 Antonio Salugsugan of the Bureau of Fire and Protection of Jasaan, said nobody was killed or injured in the fire which was declared fire out at about 11:45 am.
Based on the initial assessment of the barangay council and the local social worker with the BFP there were 10 families affected by the fire.
All burnt houses were made of light combustible materials, Salugsusan said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, he added.
Salugsugan pegged the cost of damages to P200 thousand. Affected families were temporarily housed at the Barangay Luz Banzon covered court.
