THE signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for the Pinasbilis Project was conducted at the People’s Palace, Cotabato City yesterday, June 12.

The Cotabato Light and Power Company under the Aboitiz Group through the Aboitiz Equity Ventures and Aboitiz Foundation Incorporation signed an agreement for the implementation of the Pinasbilis Project which will be the first in Mindanao.

“We are proud because this project will be implemented in Cotabato City and because this is the first in Mindanao,” said Valentin S. Saludes, President of Cotabato Light and Power Company.

The project aims to provide digital tools and infrastructures to selected government officials either national or local. It also facilitates pieces of training to capacitate employees from different agencies. Under this project operations will be done digitally in the City Government of Cotabato.

“We believe that having this project will ensure the successful implementation of ease of doing business to achieve the efficiency of government services by equipping our partners with the right skill and access to the necessary resources,” Saludes added.

According to Saludes, the primary objective of the project is to support the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) in realizing their mandate and ambition to have a Philippine government that is clean, just, highly efficient, technically enable, and people-centered which in turn enables high trusting society with globally competitive services.

Anton Mari Perdices, President and CEO of Aboitiz Power Distribution Utilities, noted that his company is always prepared and ready to assist the mayor of Cotabato with his projects in order to make sure that the city “goes up and progresses.”

“We want to make sure that everything is done efficiently in the City Hall so that businesses will look forward to coming here to open up their establishments,” Perdices also pointed.

Perdices also stated that the project will be a good opportunity for the City Hall employees because of the provision of system pieces of training to enhance their abilities in using computers and to understand program software for productivity and efficiency in carrying out government services.
