In a heartwarming event, the Friends Rescued Christmas Party brought together 568 friends rescued and their dependents at Alfranz Beach Resort in Brgy Caasinan, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte.

Army’s 23rd Infantry Battalion Civil-Military Operations Officer 1LT Jade Bryce Buñe said the joyous celebration took place on December 7, 2023, and aimed to foster unity and celebrate the freedom that these individuals now enjoy.

Buñe said set against the beautiful backdrop of Alfranz Beach Resort, the Friends Rescued Christmas Party created an atmosphere of reconciliation and camaraderie. 

“It provided a platform for the community to come together, promoting goodwill and encapsulating the true spirit of the holiday season,” said Buñe.

Laughter, warmth, and a sense of gratitude filled the air, making it a memorable day for all those in attendance.

The significance of the event was further emphasized by the presence of Hon. Ma. Angelica Rosedell M Amante, the Provincial Governor of Agusan del Norte. 

Gov. Amante stressed the importance of unity and peace, urging the attendees to remain loyal to the government and protect their community from any potential harm. 

Her words served as a reminder that the path to lasting peace requires the commitment of each individual.

The attendance of the Provincial Governor highlighted the government’s dedication to rebuilding and strengthening the fabric of the community.
