LAW enforcers arrested a 20-year-old rape suspect at El Salvador City in Misamis Oriental, yesterday morning.
Supt. Randy Anito, El Salvador city chief of police, identified the suspect as Jessie Jabagat, residing at Zone 3, Molugan of the same municipality.
Anito said, the victim’s mother went to his office and reported the incident.
He said, the mother only knew that her daughter was sexually abused when she noticed blood on the victim’s underwear.
Raiding team arrested the suspect at his house. During a body search a sachet containing suspected shabu was taken from his possession.
Aside from a rape case, Jabagat will also be charged of illegal possession of drugs.
He is now temporarily detained at El Salvador city police mini-cell.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old jeepney fare collector who raped and mauled another minor was arrested by policemen Monday morning. The suspect, who is residing at Purok 2A Barangay Gusa, this city, confessed to the crime.
The victim is still a coma condition in a government hospital here.
Remorseful, the suspect asked forgiveness from the victim’s parents and relatives.
