THE 18th City Council has approved the proposed ordinance appropriating the sum of P12,300,000 to be made available for the concrete paving of the farm-to-market road project in Barangay Besigan.
The proposed legislation was endorsed by the committee on agriculture and fisheries and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Annie Daba and Ian Mark Nacaya, respectively.
The Power learned that the amount will be taken from the Lumpsum Continuing Appropriation of 2016, Capital Outlay – upgrading/concreting of FMR, as the equity of the city government, under the Agricultural Productivity Office.
During the regular session, Councilor Edna Dahino, chair of the committee on finance, budget and appropriation, suggested that this be referred to her committee first since it involves a large amount of money.
Vice Mayor Uy referred the matter to the committee on finance chaired by Councilor Dahino for further study. (sp)
