Cagayan de Oro’s hairstylist had an awesome treat late last month with L’Oreal Philippines Look & Learn event where they got to learn from the best of the best bringing in two well-respected hair stylists in the industry from the JuRo Salon Exclusif, Master Precision Cutter Jude Hipolito and Master Colorist Rose Velasco.
The said event was the first of its kind here in CDO held at the Platinum Ballroom of Mallberry Suites Business Hotel on June 26 in partnership with N&B Beauty Distributor Corp., headed by Atty. Beda Joy Elot its founder and was joined by stylist from all over Northern Mindanao aim in teaching skills and styling techniques to further enhance the stylist and salon owners’ knowledge and skill sets.
The event also highlighted L’Oreal’s latest products and was put to the test during its live demo with a matching catwalk showcasing the before and after looks of each model after using L’Oreal Professionel’s latest products.
Not many know that JuRo (named after the owners Jude Hipolito and Rose Velasco) is famed for having extravagant prices tags that comes with their precision work ranging from P5,000 peso to P10,000 or more. As shocking as it may seem, it is true!
Hipolito explained during the presscon, it’s because of quality and the amount of work they put into it, he shared that it’s not all about cutting hair that is to basic. They are meticulous on what they do from analyzing your hair type, face shape, skin tone etc., to give you a perfect look. To them it’s not just cutting and coloring it combines techniques with artistry that can only be accomplished with years of training and experience.
L’Oreal Philippines Look & Learn was not only a venue where hair stylist and salon owners got to learn new techniques to apply in their profession but also it aimed in elevating the standards of the industry.
For her part Atty. Beda Joy Elot is optimistic of the beauty industry but hopes that one day she could create a L’Oreal Academy here in Cagayan de Oro to cater up and coming hairstylist and bring about a significant impact in this city and its neighboring cities hair and beauty industry.
