BUTUAN City — After the arrest of a school principal in a drug raid in Barangay San Vicente, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur on Nov. 24, 2016, a 45-year old Math teacher of Prosperidad National High School was arrested on Wednesday inside his home.

In a phone interview yesterday, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur Chief of Police Senior Insp. Jerry M. Fernandez identified the Public School Math teacher as Charles Darwin Camarao, 45, separated, resident of  Purok 5, Barangay Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

Fernandez said he and his men armed with a search warrant issued by a local court swooped down into the house of Camarao around 9 pm on Jan. 4, discovered, and seized from the suspect’s possession 5.9 grams of suspected shabu estimated to be worth P64,900.

Fernandez said that aside of being a user, the suspect is also suspected of selling shabu.

“Charges will be filed against Camarao today (Jan. 5) as we are still doing some documentation,” Fernandez added.

Last Nov. 24, 2016, at around 6 am also inside his home in Barangay San Vicente, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, Fernandez said, San Vicente Central Elementary School school principal Rolando Restauro was arrested by Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur police in a drug raid.

Police found two short firearms, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana. Fernandez said Restauro is currently free after posting bail.
