ALMOST a million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by authorities from the possession of the number 3 most wanted person and his companion in Valencia city, Bukidnon Monday.

Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Police Provincial Director, identified the suspects as Crisanto Bernardo alias ‘Cris,’ 45, married, and residing at Purok 15, Barangay Casisang, Malaybalay City, and Gilberto Tabique, 60, married, and a resident of Purok 11, Poblacion, Valencia City, both of the said province.

Lagare said the suspects were arrested by personnel assigned at Valencia City Police Station under the supervision of Police Col. John Ray Barazan, Bukidnon Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and other units at Purok 3, Barangay, Bagontaas, Valencia City.

Confiscated from the suspects were 12 sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P81,600, P500 buy-bust money, and two mobile phones.

While Tabique is a flower shop owner in the said city, Bernardo was tagged by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-10 and the police as the number 3 most wanted person.

A case in violation of sections 5 and 11, Article 2 of RA 9165 is now being prepared against the suspects for filing in court.
