DIGOS City ― A street-level drug personality who was the subject of a drug buy-bust operation in the city yields suspected shabu and dried marijuana leaves.
Lt. Colonel Hamlet Lerios, Digos City police chief identified the suspect as Akmad Abon Zailon, 30, a resident of Gokotan 9409, Pikit, North Cotabato whom police categorized as Street-Level Individual – Newly Identified Drug Personality.
The sting operation was launched at Purok-5, Barangay Matti, Digos City in the afternoon of July 22 wherein the suspect fell into the trap of selling a sachet of the substance to a poseur-buyer.
Anti-illegal drug operatives comprising elements of the local, provincial, and regional police and the PDEA-11 recovered 0.8 grams of suspected shabu and 1.7 grams of marijuana from Zailon, the report said.
The P1,000 bill marked money used in the sting operation was also recovered together with the suspected drugs and non-drug items from the possession of the suspect, Lerios said.
Zailon is placed under the custody of Digos police station while preparing the pertinent documents for the filing of appropriate charges.
