CAGAYAN de Oro’s dynamic young leaders are poised for an educational leap forward, as the Oro Youth Development Office, in partnership with the city’s SK Federation and the American agency USAID’s Opportunity 2.0, unveils the Oro SK Academy for 2024. 

This year’s theme, “PAKIGDUYOG: Envisioning the Self & Community,” sets a collaborative tone for the event.

Janine ‘Janka’ Aguillon, the energetic SK Chair of Barangay Bulua, has stepped forward as a central figure in this initiative. 

Aguillon, radiating enthusiasm, shared her readiness to participate in the program slated for March 22nd and 23rd, 2024, and extends an open invitation to her peers to do the same. 

She relayed her message with a sense of community and excitement, symbolized by a heartfelt “CDO Ready!” in her announcement.

The Oro SK Academy is not just a training ground; it is a cradle for Positive Youth Development in the Oro SK community. 

Aguillon emphasizes that the program’s design is to cultivate crucial life skills and competencies of young leaders. 

PAKIGDUYOG’s mission is fourfold: to develop talents, foster constructive relationships, strengthen community environments, and prompt systemic transformation.
