    Leveling the field

I’D like to share this with all of you, with generous permission from the author, Ricardo Jorge S. Caluen. These are timely thoughts for these intense times.

    Instant germaphobia

SO… With all the tips and how-tos that are barraging our senses, I’ve been thinking about this notorious virus and how to keep it away. Then I saw this wonderful meme. It said, “Pretend that you have the virus, then think about what you would do to keep from infecting others.”

    It surely ain’t over

SO... It looks like we’re going to live with this pesky virus for a while. Corona, Covid 19, whatever, it’s not done with us yet. And I’m still fascinated by the types of reactions being displayed as time goes on.

    Our disappearing artisans

SO... I needed to find something to wear to a social gathering recently. This is a task which I would have eagerly attacked in my younger days. But my priorities seem to have changed as I’ve grown older, and now fashion hunting only seems tedious and uninteresting.

    Shame. On. Us

SO... A man was killed last Friday night. For doing his job, I presume. And yet for us, it was just one of those things. If you don’t want to be depressed or provoked, stop reading right now. This is not the column for you today.

    Peace and Qs

SO... I received an article in my inbox from friend Ricky Caluen which reminded me of how sometimes we focus on the less important things.

    I want to be Yoda

SO... This time, I want to talk about me. Although it may sound a bit narcissistic, please bear with me. I hope that at the end of this column, it might spark a little bit of light in you. Because, really, that’s all I want to do.

    Mortally paranoid

SO... Now that this novel coronavirus has everybody scared out of their underpants, maybe we should take a look at the reality and not the paranoia. We Pinoys like to take things to the extreme, and viral for us has a totally new meaning.
