VEN before the ending of the so-called Championship Game between Team USA and Serbia, at the Fiba World Cup, I had to turn off our cable TV because the game was so boring there never hope for Serbia to catch up with the rampaging NBA players led by Harden, Davis and Rose. Good that Serbia managed to score thirty seven points less than Team USA at 129-92. It could have been only half of the score of Team USA. Their three-point shots faltered, their turnovers multiplied and the drives, dunks and three-pointers of Harden and Company were almost unopposed, the Serbs looking like they were barrio athletes.
It could have been different had the game been between Team USA and Spain because this team has seven NBA human machines like the Gasul brothers, Rubio and the rest. But sadly, Spain faltered against France thereby eliminating their chances of ever facing Team USA. Or, it would have been an exciting match with France but then France fell to the Serbs. I even thought that Serbia could, at least give the Americans a headache because they fought all the way to the Championship. Sadly, it never happened.
