ADDRESSING the traffic problems in the City needs no rocket science. It simply requires the competence of traffic managers.
The way traffic mess is addressed merely displays the incompetence of those at the helm of the Roads and Traffic Administration.
Even an untrained eye can see how the traffic managers show their incompetence as if they are helpless in finding solutions to specific traffic problems.
Replace Oclarit
Replacing Oclarit from his comfortable office should be the first step. All he does is attend meetings and not even add value to the issue. All he does in meetings is be silent and issue orders without even following through, and pose for the camera that is always in tow by his arrogant aides.
There are many individuals around us who can add value to managing traffic. Again, replace Oclarit.
Reorganize the RTA
If managing traffic will always be left to the hands of the incompetents and inept in the RTA, we can always expect the same scenes in our thoroughfares.
Merely adding traffic aides in congested areas is a band-aid solution that is the RTA’s only ace under its sleeve.
It is clear that the RTA has no working organization and all the buck stops at Oclarit. He does not know how to run things, especially at crisis time.
I can go on and on but I would rather stop here hoping that the eyes of the RTA will now be opened, of course without Oclarit there.
